FUNES will generate a interrelationship among various the new skills demanded in the furniture sector in the future years, a system to evaluate whether a worker of this sector has the future skills, and a specific training material that will be generated in order to facilitate the acquisition of these specific skills, recommending aobut the soft skills needded by the current and future workers for this sector.
The training material generated will be in e-learning format to facilate the training at worplace or in a VET centre.

Objectives

The development of the project is to define the different scenarios in which companies are going to find in the future, by analyzing and identifying the new skills required of the current and future workers, horizontal skills or specific skills to maintain the position of the European furniture sector in the world, keep their jobs and students to access jobs with the level of competence required by enterprises, the unemployed youth to acquire these new skills by facilitating their access to the sector. This project will generate a relationship about the new skills demanded for the furniture sector in the future years, a system to evaluate if a worker or a future worker of this sector has the future skills, and a specific training material to facilitate the acquisition of these specific skills, and to recomended aobut the horizontal skill needded by the actuals and futures workers for this sector. The training material generated will be in e-learning format to facilate the training in the worplace or education, in VET centre.

General Objective: 

To acquire the right competences in order to be able to make, assemble and install, both tailor-made and constructive elements based on wood and its derivatives, using hand tools, electrical hand-operated machinery and woodworking machines.

RENEW2020 – Youth training course for creative waste recycling is an european project funded under the Erasmus+ programme (KA2 strategic partnership for Youth).
The project promotes and supports the development of specific and professional skills of Youth in the Green Economy and Up-cycling sector, creating a strategic partnership between European organizations with specific expertise in the field of youth training, auto-entrepreneurship, design creativity and waste management.

The partners organisations are from Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Croatia and Belgium. They will aim to share their skills and experiences in order to develop training courses aimed at young people (aged 18-29 years), new graduates, unemployed, precarious employers, youth with social difficulties or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Innovative ICT tools, non-formal educational activities and cooperative learning techniques will encourage participants to acquire knowledge and auto-entrepreneurial skills, such as: basics of the marketing, implementation of commerce planning, web marketing, business model and business plan, leadership and team management, design management, software and product design.

The educational path intend to train the youth participants to compete in an increasingly competitive international market, improving the Re-use product value by generating aesthetic and practical innovations, adopting the possibilities offered by the latest technology and acquiring professional competences linked to the production technologies and design techniques applied in the Up-cycling sector. The course achieves to train professionals who combine creative skills with solid technical expertise, providing participants with the ability to face a product development process from concept to production.

RENEW2020 offers the opportunity to the youth participants to participate to a training path that will be developed through on-line lessons and follow-up on an e-learning platform and through 4 mobility periods in the partner countries.

The partner organisations will be directly involved and will play an active role in the planning and implementation of lessons and workshops about the topic of auto-entrepreneurship in the Green Economy, to increase the professional competences, skills, knowledge of direct participants.

Moreover, the exchange of good practices will provide young participants the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to evaluate the opportunity to design and start up a Smart Re-use project business, from the business plan analysis to its implementation, manufacturing techniques, production technologies and materials features.

There will be adopted innovative teaching methodologies of cooperative learning, non-formal and informal learning modes based on the interaction of the group. Some of the teaching methods of “cooperative learning” will be:

  • Brain Storming: proposing freely all kinds of solutions of a given problem;
  • Problem Solving: identifying, planning, and implementing the necessary actions to solve a problem;
  • Problem Networking: identifying relevant data for setting the problem by discarding those excessive through networking comparison;
  • Story telling: narrative practices in order to promote ideas focusing on the dynamics of social influence;
  • Role Playing: putting in place an “accident” and giving participants, as “actors” and “observers”, the opportunity to review their own behaviour;
  • Debriefing: self-critical reflection of what learned.
